Ice Fishing Tournament

Last year’s Ice fishing contest on Lake G. was a huge success! We did not see as many large fish as the previous year, but there were many fish caught. A very good number of walleye were seen by all, averaging 20” in length. The Northern Pike division was on the smaller side especially this year, with very few exceeding 20” in length. The weather was exceptionally warm, but with an ice thickness averaging 14” in depth, there was no danger of falling through, despite the presence of an inch or more of water on the surface.

In the kids division, Emmy Antkoviak won with a 19” Northern Pike. Adult Walleye division was won by Brian Antkoviak with a 21-1/4” walleye. Derrick Ehinger and Ben Delamater shared the win for the Northern Pike Division each with a 30” pike.
